ROB WALBERS

ROB Walbers had just turned 30 when he decided to switch his homeland Belgium for Japan. Moving to the land of the rising sun broadened his horizon, inspiring him for his expansion from music photography to the fields of fashion and lifestyle, while keeping focused on his personal work - always developing a book or two in the back of his mind. 

He studied photography at the Karel De Grote school in Antwerp and went on to work as a freelancer for magazines, music labels, live houses and basically every challenge he set his mind to. Artists appearing in front of his lens include Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Morrissey and Radiohead. 

Aside from making a name for himself in the world of commercial photography, he is always keen on chasing his own ideas, something that has led to numerous publications and exhibitions and an array of awards.
