TalesInInk, from skin to print.

TalesInInk has always been about stories carved deep beneath the surface — raw, unfiltered, and unforgettable. For years, we’ve shared them in the fleeting space of screens and social feeds. Now it’s time to give these tales the weight they deserve, with a magazine that’s bold, graphic, and unapologetic.

One whose pages you’ll want to flip through, display on your coffee table, and frame to hang on your wall.

We kick off with a double-sided issue: a reflection of the team behind it, split between Belgium and Japan. East meets West, offering the magazine two entry points and thus two covers: one focusing on the prolific Belgian artist and musician Colin H. van Eeckhout (CHVE), whose transcendent performances as the lead singer of Amenra have left audiences around the world breathless, and the other featuring renowned Japanese jeweler Fangophilia, famous for his custom-molded creations that have adorned icons like Lady Gaga and Marilyn Manson.

Inside, you’ll find, among others, Aya Sato, a dancer who developed a style so unique it has led to collaborations with figures like Madonna and designer Leonard Wong.

We’ve translated these collected narratives from skin to print using imagery, words, and graphic design. With this magazine, we aim to create something that endures, because good stories shouldn’t get lost in the scroll. They deserve to be remembered, like that first time an inked needle punctures the skin.
